The shipment is engineered before the first lift.

Specimen palms are tall, heavy, living freight. Safe delivery depends on load geometry, crown protection, securement, permitting, route clearance and an arrival plan that works in the field.

Palm preparation

Canopies are tied and protected without trapping damaging moisture. Fronds, bud and finished trunk are shielded from abrasion.

Lift and placement

Rated equipment and soft rigging distribute force. Root balls are supported; trunks are never used as uncontrolled levers.

Weight and securement

Palm sequence, center of gravity, trailer capacity, axle limits, blocking and tiedown points are planned as one system.

Route and compliance

Overall height, width, length, state permits, escorts, weather, bridges, utilities and delivery-hour restrictions are checked before dispatch.

Arrival readiness

Access, turning radius, crane or loader position, prepared holes, crew, water and unload sequence are confirmed before the truck reaches the gate.

Every contact point matters.

From the first balanced lift through final unloading, the palm is supported as living freight. Root balls stay protected, trunks are isolated from hard edges, crowns are consolidated, and each tier is positioned for a controlled receiving sequence.

RECEIVING CHECKLIST

Do not let the truck become the storage plan.

  • Confirm delivery window and equipment capacity
  • Verify access, overhead clearance and firm staging
  • Excavate and measure holes before arrival
  • Place backfill soil and water source within reach
  • Assign one signal person for the unload
  • Photograph condition before and after unloading
  • Install, water and stabilize without avoidable delay
